Mongolian Heart
Mongolian Heart, one of Nepal’s best-known musical bands, is preparing for its first European tour after more than three decades in music. Formed in 1992, the band will perform across four countries as part of the Mongolian Heart Europe Mini Tour 2026.
Managed by Four Brothers Event Management, the tour will take the band to Denmark, Romania, Portugal and Croatia, marking a new chapter in its long-running musical journey.
An eight-member team is scheduled to leave Nepal for Europe on September 24. The touring lineup includes vocalist Raju Lama; band manager and guitarist Boby Lama; drummer Santosh Thapa Magar; bass guitarist Pawan Kapali; lead guitarist Bhupendra Bajracharya; madal and percussion player Babu Raja Maharjan; flautist Binaya Maharjan; and sound engineer Nirendra Ranjit.
According to the tour schedule, Mongolian Heart will begin its European performances in Denmark on September 26. The band will then perform in Romania on October 3, Portugal on October 5 and Croatia on October 11.
The tour, however, will extend beyond live entertainment. Mongolian Heart has also linked the European journey with a social cause, announcing that part of the money raised during the tour will be set aside to support families affected by the floods in Rasuwa.
Singer Raju Lama said the band wanted its European journey to carry a sense of responsibility towards Nepalis affected by disasters back home.
“We are taking our music to Europe, but our journey is not limited to entertainment. We also have a responsibility towards our Nepali brothers and sisters affected by disasters, including those in Rasuwa. Therefore, a portion of the money raised from this tour will be used to support them,” Lama said.
Band manager Boby Lama also invited Nepali communities and music lovers across Europe to join the concerts and support the initiative.
“Come, let’s meet, sing, dance and celebrate Nepali music together with Mongolian Heart. And, as much as we can, let us help ease the pain of the Rasuwa flood victims,” he said.
For Mongolian Heart, the mini tour represents its first opportunity to take a dedicated European concert run to audiences after more than three decades in music. With four performances scheduled across Europe, the band is combining live music, its connection with the Nepali diaspora and a humanitarian initiative in one journey.
