The Arthur Gunn Live in Nepal poster advertises December 5 as the singer’s only Kathmandu show of 2026.
Four Years After His Nepal Tour, American Idol Runner-Up Arthur Gunn (Dibesh Pokharel) to Perform in Kathmandu on December 5, 2026
Arthur Gunn is coming home to Kathmandu for a concert on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The poster for ‘Arthur Gunn Live in Nepal’ bills the performance as the singer-songwriter’s only show in the capital this year.
Gunn, who grew up in Kathmandu as Dibesh Pokharel, told fans in June that he planned to visit Nepal in November. At the time, he left the concert date open. The poster now lists December 5 and directs fans to Khalti by IME for tickets. It gives no venue, start time or ticket prices.
For listeners in Nepal, Gunn’s story began well before ‘American Idol’. His Nepali song “Nyano Ghar” had already found an audience by the time he auditioned for the show in 2020. He sang Bob Dylan’s “Girl from the North Country” and Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” for the judges and went on to finish as the season’s runner-up.
At the opening concert of his 2022 Nepal tour, Gunn played both “Nyano Ghar” and “Have You Ever Seen the Rain.” For fans who first heard him sing in Nepali and those who discovered him on television, that night put both songs on the same stage. Four years later, Kathmandu has another date on the calendar.
