Thousands of music lovers from across the UAE gathered at The Agenda in Dubai on Sunday, October 4, 2026, as Nepathya performed a mix of its popular songs and newer music.
Led by Amrit Gurung, the Nepali folk-rock band returned for its fourth concert in the city, bringing a shared connection to home just ahead of Dashain.
The evening brought together fans who had taken time away from their daily routines to enjoy Nepathya live.
Familiar favourites and new songs shared space in the performance, giving listeners a chance to revisit the music they love while experiencing the band’s more recent work.
With Dashain approaching, the gathering carried a special meaning for the Nepali community. Away from Nepal, an evening of familiar music offered a way to come together around the language, sounds and culture of home.
Nepathya’s appeal has long rested on that connection. Its blend of Nepali folk melodies and rock arrangements brings local stories to the stage in a sound that has reached audiences across generations. In Dubai, thousands gathered to experience that music together.
This visit also introduced a new venue for the band’s Dubai audience. After staging its previous three concerts at Al Nasr Leisureland, Nepathya performed at The Agenda in Dubai Media City, near Internet City Metro Station.
Before the show, the band’s management company, Nepalaya, said it had chosen the new venue and made production arrangements to improve the concert experience.
The October 4 performance opened a new chapter in a relationship with Dubai listeners that stretches back more than a decade.

On stage, Gurung performed alongside Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Neeraj Gurung on guitar, Sundar Maharjan on madal and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboards.
Together, the musicians brought the band’s familiar combination of folk rhythm, guitars and Gurung’s vocals to the UAE. The mix of established favourites and newer songs reflected both Nepathya’s long musical journey and its continuing work.
The concert also came with a pledge to support families facing hardship in Nepal.
Ahead of the event, Easy Group of Companies managing director Anil Lamichhane announced that 20 percent of the concert’s profits would go towards education for children orphaned by the Bhotekoshi floods and support for affected single women.
The commitment connected the gathering in Dubai with communities back home. The final amount raised and details of its distribution had not been confirmed at the time of writing.
The Agenda listed Easy Group of Companies Dubai, Momo Entertainment and K Garira!!! as the event’s promoters.
Nepathya’s history in Dubai includes an earlier performance linked to disaster relief. The band first performed in the city in 2015, shortly after Nepal’s devastating earthquake.
Although the concert had been arranged before the disaster, Nepathya donated its earnings from the show to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
Dubai held another significant place in the band’s journey in 2022, when it became the destination for Nepathya’s first overseas concert trip following the pandemic.
The latest appearance followed the band’s recent concert in South Korea, continuing its connection with Nepali communities abroad.
On October 4, that connection brought thousands of listeners to The Agenda. Popular songs, newer music and the approach of Dashain gave Nepathya’s fourth Dubai concert a place in the festive season for Nepalis living far from home.
