Censor Board of Nepal is often dragged into disputes for different types of certificates hands over to Nepali Movies. The board gives ‘A’ (*adult) certificate by deleting scenes of the movie. What’s the justification of providing ‘A’ certificates by cutting the scenes? This is the question often raised by film directors and producers.
Recently, the censor board of Nepal didn’t pass the bed scene of ZHIGRANA. In the scene, artist Nikun Shrestha and Menuka Pradan have enjoyed in the bed room.
The film unit claims that the scene was shot in an artistic way. But, the board deleted the scene and provided ‘A’ certificate to the movie. Now, the movie is not available to watch for audiences below 16 years. The film unit is riled by the decision and says that there is no reason to remove the bed scene from the movie.
Shanti Giri, Hanna Gesciwski, Jyoti Karki, Arun Regmi, Diwakar Piya, Bina Pandey among other have acted in the movie. The movie is releasing from 6th of March 2015 (22nd of Falgun 2071).
