Danila Karki emerged as the proud winner of Sofy Mrs. Nepal World 2024, earning not only the coveted crown but also a brand-new scooter as part of her prize. She will carry the pride of Nepal as she competes internationally at the Mrs. World 2024 event, to be held in the United States this December.
The competition was held Pragya Bhawan auditorium in Kathmandu, where Danila outperformed her 28 competitors, demonstrating her poise, intelligence, and charisma to secure the Mrs. Nepal World 2024 title.
In this grand event, Alina Ghimire was awarded the first runner-up title, while Kiran Karki claimed the second runner-up position, and Anu Karki was named third runner-up. In the event, Suyasha Raut received the crown of Mrs. Nepal International, and Reshma Ghimire earned the title of Ms. Nepal International. Both titleholders will represent Nepal in the Mrs. and Ms. International pageants in Singapore, providing further global platforms for Nepali representatives to shine.
Showcased under the banner of Ribbon Entertainment, the event was choreographed by Ashwini Kant Jha, who was joined by co-choreographer Aina Gajurel to bring together a seamless and engaging show. Rani Kharel and Samrat Shah served as the primary event coordinators, while Nishu Kant Jha directed the overall event, with the management overseen by Ganga Maharjan.
In a special highlight, the ceremony paid homage to veteran actress Basundhara Bhusal, honoring her with the Mrs. Nepal World Honorary Award 2024 for her invaluable contributions to Nepali cinema spanning over six decades. Her recognition was presented by distinguished figures, including Anuradha Koirala, founder of Maiti Nepal, celebrated actor Dhiren Shakya, Nishu Kant Jha, president of Ribbon Entertainment, and the official choreographer Ashwini Kant Jha, among others. This honorary award underscored her role in shaping the legacy of Nepali cinema, making her a true icon in the industry.
