The fifth season of The National Designers Runway 2024 concluded on a high note, with Phungden Hang Limbu securing the coveted winner’s title. His outstanding creativity, innovation, and exceptional presentation on the theme of “Party Wear” impressed both the audience and the judges, setting him apart from the other talented designers. Models Jyoti Khadka and Rechal Magar brought his visionary creations to life on the runway, further enhancing the impact of his designs.
The event, organized by Rajya Media Network and presented by Aventoz Nepal, showcased a vibrant celebration of fashion and talent. While Phungden Hang Limbu claimed the top prize, other designers also shone brightly. Sabi Shrestha earned the position of first runner-up, Oman Kumari Lakandri took home the second runner-up title, and Sagina Munikar was honored with the Most Popular Designer award.
The glamorous affair unfolded at the Imperial Banquet in Bhaktapur, bringing together a host of fashion enthusiasts, professionals, and dignitaries. The event was conceptualized by Devil Singh Rajput, CEO of Rajya Media Network and Aventoz Nepal, and chaired by Saroj Ojha, Chairperson of Rajya Media Network. It was further dignified by the presence of Indira Rana Magar, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, as the chief guest.
The event was hosted and choreographed by Rojin Shakya, a seasoned media personality and fashion choreographer, whose expertise ensured the smooth execution of the evening.
Apart from the competition, the audience was treated to a variety of stunning collections from fashion designers Julie Shah, Sarita Shrestha and Menuka Rana. A special Styling Project presented by student designers from IIFT Lalitpur was also the highlight of the event.
The competition’s credibility was elevated by a distinguished panel of judges, comprising Nisha Shrestha, Sabin Dhungana, and Jwala Raj Pokharel – Renowned fashion designers, Manisha Dongol Shrestha – Fashion entrepreneur, Sarita Shrestha – Media personality and fashion thesis writer and Suryadeep Ghatane – Business Development Manager at LIM College.
The seamless execution of the event was credited to a dedicated team Sanjeeb Kasaju as the Marketing Head, Parmananda Chaudhary as the Event Manager and Sailesh Nepali as the Event Coordinator
The fifth season of The National Designers Runway 2024 not only celebrated the emerging talents in Nepal’s fashion industry but also reaffirmed its reputation as a premier stage for innovation and artistry in Nepali fashion.
