The comedy artist duo Madan Krishna Shrestha and Haribansa Acharya distributed warm clothes to people of 100 poor and Dalit families affected with the cold wave in Rautahat district.
The artists popularly known as Maha Jodi said the news stories of pitiable conditions of poor in the cold affected them very much, so the help was extended though little.
They reached different villages of Chandrapur municipality ward no 12, 13, and 14 and provided the warm clothes to the destitute families to fend off the cold.
Artists Shrestha and Acharya also attended a program organized at a local school with the initiative of the Help Nepal Network and former students of Shuvalal Bhagawat higher secondary school.
During the program, speakers, including the comedy duo said it was a humanitarian act to help the needy people. They had arrived here in course of film shooting at different villages of the district.
