On the occasion of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s birthday, the makers revealed the 3.15 minutes long trailer of Aanand L Rai directorial Zero. the trailer reveals quite a bit of the movie. However, that doesn’t take away anything from the fact that the movie is going to be an entertainer. Here are five key takeaways from SRK, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma starrer Zero.
The ever-enigmatic Shah Rukh Khan
There is something about Shah Rukh Khan when he takes the screen. He is dynamic and lights up celluloid every single time. Sprouting lines in a witty, endearing fashion, Shah Rukh steals hearts in the Zero trailer as well.
The vibrant trailer
The trailer is popping with happiness and a certain positivity which is hard to ignore. Maybe it is the star cast, maybe it is the editing and maybe it is the direction; whatever the case, Zero promises to be a visual spectacle. And then there is Shah Rukh’s vertically challenged Bauua Singh. The special effects of the movie look up to the mark. Basically, there’s a lot to look forward to.

The humour
There is a healthy dose of humour in the film, be it the moment in the trailer when Shah Rukh says, “38 ki umar mein jo log kuwaare ghumte hai na Pandey, unhe baarish se darr nahi lagta,” or his interaction with Anushka Sharma’s character. Zero doesn’t look like it is taking itself too seriously.
The chemistry of the star cast
The words ‘Chemistry’ and ‘Shah Rukh Khan’ share a deep relationship. It is something that the actor shares with all his leading ladies. And with Zero, he creates magical moments with both Katrina and Anushka.
The missing link
One would think a three-minute-long trailer would have nothing to hide. However, that is not the case with Zero. Thankfully. Towards the end of the trailer, SRK says something which is bound to leave the audience bewildered. The actor says, “Kahaaniyon mein suna tha ki mohabbat mein aashiq chaand tak le aate hai, saale ko humne ye baat seriously le li.” The line is followed by a visual which shows a rocket launching into space. Clearly, a big part of the puzzle is amiss in the video and that is a good thing. Trailers should evoke questions in viewers. And Zero does exactly that. Zero will hit the screens on December 21, 2018.
