Rojin Shakya | The day 3 of four day fashion flair had special opening. It had singer Priti Kaur singing live and Actress / National Volleyball player Sipora Gurung making her appearance as the opener of the first sequence of 3rd day while this sequence landed beautifully with the walk of Actress Namrata Shrestha as the show stopper.
It was Siwangi Pradhan whose collection had a wonderful take off and landing with two celebrities walking her designs. Her collection gave Red Carpet moods with various shapes and sizes. Second came Teyang with her collection played on the fabrics like linen, georgette and neoprene which had all white but with eye catching line and lengths.
The third day of TGIF of Nepal Fashion week had some ethnic traditional collections. The first one was by Upasana Shroff from Kalighatta . The collection had lehenga, ghagra, circular and A-lines with lots of graceful embroidery detailing and patterns. The other one was from Rakchhya Shahi which had lehanga, Sarara, Dhoti salwar and other A-line silhouettes combined with fancy blouses, cholis and funky jackets. The collection had former Miss Nepal Sweta Singh to end up the presentation.
Suchina Shrestha, Sangi Gurung and Rabina Gurung revived the Vintage style with monochromatic dressing played on colors like black and white. The pieces were elegant long gowns. The team of Sarita Gurung and Srijana Gurung came up with vivid colors, lots of floral prints and various designs including tulip dress.
The knee length and mid thigh length dresses came through the runway with lots of stone embellishments. This collection was presented by Ila Shakya, Urjana Shrestha and Geeta Deupala which was majorly based on the color blue. The pastel colors got the life with the collection showcased by Anita Chhetri, Caroline Rai and Jamuna Maharjan. Their collection long and fish tail gowns with glitters and shines.
Designer duo Ashika Subba and Tshering Sherpa showcased the collection of cocktail attires having A line and fish tail silhouettes with metallic embellishments on the upper bodice of the dress. The collection had vivid eye catching colors. The final showcase of the 3rd day was by a well known name Tenzin Tseten Bhutia. With voluminous gowns to A-line silhouettes and high slit dresses Tenzin’s creativity was explored on sheer and soft fabrics having fluidity and was played mostly on vibrant shades. The ended with fresh face of Kollywood, Samragyee RL Shah.
