‘Speak to me’ a talk show by fashion choreographer Rojin Shakya via social media Facebook would have Transgender Runway Model Jyoti Thapa on Saturday 3rd October.
Blessed with a tall figure Jyoti Thapa has walked through several runway shows including the graduation fashion show of Namuna College of Fashion Technology, Panache Runway, En Vogue season 4, IEC Designer’s Runway, Pokhara International fashion week. The well maintained tall figure, fierce look, and captivating catwalk have always been an asset for her to flaunt the designer dresses in a most appealing way. Jyoti has also broadened her modeling journey being part of the International IPOH fashion week held in Malaysia.
Jyoti has also been the part of Miss Pink Nepal 2065 B.S. organized by Blue Diamond Society where she was been awarded as Beauty with Brain award and also as the HIV AIDS Ambassador for Central Development Region.
Apart from being one of the top listed transgender runway model of Nepalese fashion and modeling fraternity, Jyoti is also among an activist who is the part of Nepal’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) movement. Jyoti graduated from Tribhuwan University in 2013 with a Master’s degree in Gender Studies is currently working as a Program Coordinator at Our Equal Access, Bhaktapur.
