The Sushila Art Academy established by actress Manisha Koirala in memory of her grandmother Sushila Koirala, has announced 90 scholarships for acting, dance and music for 2015.
During a program organized in the capital on Sunday, director of the academy Yuliya Koirala announced the scholarships to be provided in association with TATA Motors.
Addressing the press meet, Koirala announced that children and youths will be provided with cholarships under four different categories. According to her, scholarships will be provided for Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Nepali Dance, Freestyle Dance, Kathak Dance and Classical Spanish Flamenco. Likewise for music, scholarships will be provided under Violin, Classical Guitar, Sarodbadan and other categories.
Nepali music band will also receive scholarship by the academy, while there is also scholarship for painting.
The academy established at Mandikhatra (Dhumbarahi) some two years ago, has been providing scholarships to talented children and youths each year.
