Prabal Gurung’s FALL 2015 Collection

World’s favorite designer Prabal Gurung is in the runway with his latest fall 2015 collection. After two seasons been devoted to the mountain range in Nepal and the people who live there, Prabal continued to show his fascination towards big hills, this time the Adirondacks in the state of New York to set his collection in motion. A trip made by the creative mind to upstate New York inspired the designer so much that it can be noticed in his exploration through his designs.

The graphic patterns found on Native American designs associated with the region were the through line. They appeared on the sweater to hit the runway, blue beaded dress, as well as on fur coat and a wool parka. Desirable fur and wool coats, shimmering beaded evening wear and sensual shift dresses, were the result of his trekking trip.

He gave his silhouette an overhaul, too, cutting slip dresses and sheaths along more generous, away-from-the-body lines. From a beautiful dove gray wool duffel coat to extravagant coats, such as incredible fur intarsias and over delicate little slips. May it be Fair Isle and graphic black and white color blocks, paired with mid length asymmetric pleated kilts or the embroidered tweed sweatshirt, a slim knee-length skirt embellished with a hand cut diamond motif were other examples of his inspiration that came into the form his latest collection of dresses.
