Nepali-American Parijita Bastola on the top 10 of the Voice of America


Nepali American 17-year-old Parijita Bastola has reached the top ten in the American singing competition The Voice. Bastola has managed to secure the position as the top 10 has been selected from the top 13.

She entered the next stage based on audience votes. Nepalis and others around the world voted to take Parijita to the top ten. She is on John Legend’s team.

She is the first Nepali-American to participate in The Voice competition. The Voice is considered to be the best singing reality show in the world. Even in Nepal, its franchise show ‘The Voice of Nepal’ is very popular.

Parijita sang Adele’s song All I Ask on Tuesday. She looks gorgeous in a black saree and blouse while singing in the final 13 competition. Due to her dress, she has drawn the attention of Nepalese and Indian communities.

Parijita Bastola lives in Maryland, USA with her mother Bira Tiwari, her father Pankaj Bastola, and sister Priyanka. The Bastola family shifted to America from Kathmandu, Nepal two decades ago. She was born in the USA.
