Nepal Cultural International Film Festival 2020 Announced


2nd Nepal Cultural International Film Festival 2020 is been announced. As per the current situation, the festival would be organized virtually. As per the press release been notified by Nepal Culture and Film Center (NCFC) through its official website the 2nd NCIFF would be hosted from 1st of December till the 29th of December and would be conducted through its official social media platforms. As stated by the Chairman of the organization Mr. Santosh Subedi the festival would have 40 plus films from 24 plus countries being showcased. Other than this the festival would have a series of interaction and discussion sessions among the filmmakers of Nepal and from different other countries

The festival aims to be an exclusive platform for the cultural exchange among the participating countries. The entry of the participating movies was been done through the Filmfreeway site. The chairman of NCFC Mr. Santosh Subedi states that the festival would be organized in a grand, civilized, and cultured manner.

As per the schedule, December 1st would be the date of the grand opening ceremony of the festival and would be conducted virtually in presence of NCFC team members, Chief Guest, selected filmmakers, jury members, actors, film industrialists, and VIP guests. From 3rd to 18th December selected films would have a special screening. On each day 5 movies from different categories from different countries would be screened virtually and would also have Q & A session with the filmmaker right after the screening of the movie. 29th December would witness the award distribution ceremony.

As stated, Filmmakers can register their attendance for the festival without any charges while forms can also be filled out worldwide through the website of the organization, www.2ndnciff.ncfc.org.np. The Festival would give away awards and appreciation based on their admiration. The festival would also include full-length feature films, short films, documentaries, movies based on women and children while. The festival would honor the movies in various eight categories including the public choice award, jury award, and an encouragement award.
