The official poster of the internationally acclaimed Nepali documentary Sanchalal: Seeds of Hope has been unveiled. Produced under the banner of Dev D Production, the documentary is directed and produced by Dipendra K.C.

The newly released poster offers a glimpse into the documentary’s emotional and socially relevant story while highlighting its growing international recognition. Designed by Royal Bhimsen in a striking black-and-white theme, the poster features Sanchalal alongside a young child in a remote rural setting, reflecting the film’s powerful narrative of resilience and hope.

Sanchalal: Seeds of Hope tells the real-life story of Sanchalal, a person living with a disability in a remote Chepang village deep inside the forests of Manahari, Makwanpur. Through his journey, the documentary explores themes of poverty, isolation, social exclusion, and human determination.

Despite facing numerous hardships and living in challenging circumstances, Sanchalal continues to move forward with remarkable strength and optimism. The documentary captures his daily struggles, quiet courage, and unwavering hope, offering viewers a rare look into the realities faced by marginalized communities in rural Nepal.

Director Dipendra K.C. presents the story with sensitivity and authenticity, focusing not only on Sanchalal’s personal challenges but also on broader social issues that often remain overlooked. The film sheds light on the resilience of individuals who continue to dream and survive despite limited opportunities and resources.

The documentary has already gained international recognition. It won two awards at the fourth season of the Titan International Film Festival 2025 in Australia, including the prestigious Best Documentary of the Year award. The film has also been officially selected for the Bollywood and Hollywood Film Festival Australia 2026, further expanding its international reach.

The documentary was written by Dipendra K.C. and Ishwor Luintel. Cinematography was handled by Arjun Sapkota and Himal Sharma, while editing was completed by Madan Ghimire.

By bringing Sanchalal’s inspiring story to international audiences, Sanchalal: Seeds of Hope continues to shine a spotlight on untold stories from Nepal and the strength of people living on the margins of society.
