Anjali Lama Received Vogue’s ‘Model of the Year’ Award

First Transgender Nepalese Model Anjali Lama bagged ‘Model Of The Year’ in Vogue Beauty Awards held at JW Marriott, Mumbai.

Anjali shared the happy moments to her fans and followers via facebook and instagram. She wrote, “It’s a great honor to receive 10th edition of Vogue Beauty award as “Model Of The Year”. This is a further upliftment and motivation for me after so many days of failure and defeat. Thank you so much.”

Earlier, The model bagged ‘Model Of The Year’ in ‘Grazia Millennial Awards 2019’ in the month of June. She also starred in Calvin Klein’s ‘My Statement. #MyCalvins’, it was an advertising campaign done on International Women’s Day.

Anjali came out as transgender in 2005 after she moved to Kathmandu from her village. In 2017, she became the first transgender model to appear at an Indian fashion week event where she walked for Monisha Jaising’s opening show.
