1974 AD rocks Nepalese in South Korea

Popular Nepali rock band 1974 AD performed live concert on occasion of Migrant Arirang-2014 in South Korea on Sunday.

Over 400 Nepalese present on the auditorium sang together with singer Adrin Pradhan as he began singing “Yo mann ta mero Nepali ho”, one of the most popular patriotic song of the band in the function attended by 12 countries including Nepal. Audience also enjoyed in songs like ‘Navhana mero maya lagchha vane…’, ‘Ratro ra chandra surya…’ Local artists also performed during the program.

Different countries along with Nepal presented foods and dress of their respective countries during the festival. Myanmar clinched the first spot in the song competition among foreigners that ran for three months, while Philippines secured second position.

The winner received 50 lakh Korean Won, while second was awarded with 20 lakh Won. Similarly, third received 10 lakh Korean Won and 5 lakh Korean Won was provided as consolation prize.

During the musical program, Serab Gurung was provided with 16 lakh Won as relief amount for treatment of encephalitis.
