Marking International Women’s Day as a special occasion, a special program to confer the women from various fields for their achievement and contribution has been conducted in Kathmandu. The event entitled ‘Woman for Nation 2022’ organized jointly by Karaoke entertainment and Flytech International Pvt. Ltd. also saw former Kumari of Patan, Samita Bajracharya being crowned as Miss National 2022.
Earlier Samita was been a part of Miss Mongol Nepal 2022 and earned the award called Miss Cultural Ambassador. Finding her passion, zeal, and enthusiasm to work for society and to contribute in the field of fashion and modeling, Karaoke Entertainment, an event management company run by Khagesh Ranjitkar and the team further polished her skills in different areas. Thus, then came the moment where Samita was chosen eligible for being the titleholder for Miss National. Accordingly, Samita was been crowned as Miss National 2022. Samita was been crowned as Miss National 2022 by the chief guest of the event, first Miss Nepal 1994, social activist and woman entrepreneur Ruby Rana Shah. The event was been hosted at Rastriya Naachghar, Jamal. Samita is also undergoing training sessions regarding air hostess at Flytech International.
The other half of the event saw women achievers from different walks of life being honored by the special recognition called Woman for Nation 2022. The recipients of this honor were Woman entrepreneur Durga Laxmi Ranjitkar, Dance choreographer Reena Maharjan, world’s first female standing sitar performer Sita Maiya Rachal, Singers Bunu Rai Manandhar and Arpana Shrestha, Make-up artist Sanju Ranjit Shrestha, Pageant model and tourism entrepreneur Tsering Dolma Sherpa, Social Activist Anita Dhital, Media Person Sushma Maharjan, Ramp Choreographer Urusa Joshi, Miss Newa World Nancy Maharjan, Miss Mongol Nepal Aprial Ghising, Miss Newa talent Manika Khadgi, Dress and Designer Sabi Shrestha. Female Nepal Police Anjana Cheguntala, Airhostess Chandika Dhungel, Airhostess Subekshya Regmi, Singers Kabita K.C., Sony Rajbhandari, Surya Kumari Magar, Make-up artists Kabita Magar and Sumita Shrestha were the others who received the honor of Woman for Nation 2022.
The event had former SSP and the president of Ranjitkar Samaj, Deepak Ranjitkar, former army officer Major Prajay Bikram Shah, Hotelier KM Ranjitkar, Chairman of Flytech International Ahmad Hussain, CEO of Flytech International Shahrukh Hussain as the special guests.
