Cultural beauty pageant Miss Mongol Nepal 2016 Showcased at Army Officers Club, Kathmandu on 24th September 2016, and the event had twenty five Young girls from Mongol community competing for the coveted award of Miss Mongol Nepal.
Among the contestants the journey became successful for Preeti Gurung. Besides being crowned as Miss Mongol Nepal 2016, Preeti also grabbed the award of Public choice. As the winner of the competition Preeti was rewarded with cash prize of NRS. 1,00,000.
In the event organized by Action Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., Baruna Rai and Yojana Thapa Magar were been selected as the first and second runner-ups respectively. Yojana also took away Miss Talented award.
The event took off with the self introduction session where contestants were draped in Dhaka blended Saris designed by Kalpan Yonghang from the highland art. The second session presented with traditional cultural attire round after then Singapore enterprise’s dress and then top twelve question answer session came into action and finally the top five contestants faced the final question from where the final three best contestants were been shortlisted.
The contestants were also dressed in evening gowns designed by student designers from Nepal Institute of Fashion, NIF. The event was been choreographed by Rojin Shakya.
