Rajkumar Hirani’s latest directorial PK has crossed 300 crore mark at box office in India in just 17 days. with this, Aamir Khan, Rajkumar Hirani and Vinu Vinod Chopra’s this collaboration has become the first hindi film to reach the 300 crore benchmark at the domestic box office. Co-incidentally first 100 crore and 200 crore films are also of Aamir Khan with Ghajini (2008) and 3 Idiots (2009).
Not only at Indian box office, is the most critically acclaimed PK creating history in overseas too. After the 3rd weekend run, film has grossed around 568.54 crore gross ($89,896,724) worldwide which is the highest ever for a bollywood movie. In USA and Canada too, PK has become the first bollywood movie to reach $10 Million mark and is the highest grossing foreign language movie in North America.
In spite of lot of controversies against the film, PK is still running unstoppable everywhere and will continue strongly in upcoming days too. The film is expected to do 330-340 crore lifetime business in India.
Now let’s talk about Nepal. PK has created history here too. It has beaten the lifetime business record of his last release Dhoom 3 and became the highest grossing foreign film in Nepal. PK collected more than four crore gross in three weeks while Dhoom 3 had collected around 3.25 crore gross at Nepal box office.
