Popular folk rock band of Nepal, Nepathya rocked the thousands of music lovers at Tundikhel in Kathmandu on Saturday evening.
The show was organised by Bajaj Motorcycles on the occasion of Grand Finale of their bike reality show ‘Pulsar Dare Venture II’.
The concert started with Nepathya performing their new number ‘Kuroop Anuhar ho… yahan kohi saathi chaina’. After singing the song, Amrit gurung (front man of the band) shared with the audience, “This song was written by poet Sarubhakta 35 years ago, long before Nepathya and most of you were born.”
The show proceeded with back to back hit numbers like ‘Bhedako Woon Jasto…, Chekyo Chekyo…, Chari Maryo… and Jomsome Bazarma…’. Before closing the show with the Nepathya rendition of ‘Rato ra Chandra Surya’, Amrit said, “We need to remain united, as we are all Nepali first. Let us all pray and protect our symbol of unity, our flag; our Rato ra Chandra Surya.”
During the concert the Pulsar Dare Venture II winners were announced. Rider Ram Bikram Thapa was declared Nepal’s Best Rider and won a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs. Bikram KC was announced Nepal’s Best Rider runner-up and won a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs, while Sudip Shrestha was declared the Most Popular Rider. Managing Director of Bajaj Motorcycles Nepal Shekhar Golcha gave away the prizes to the winners.
