Glamour Nepal, Kathmandu | The celebration of imagination and creativity of Asian designers at international level has started at Surabaya, Indonesia on Friday, August 15 and would last till 18th of August 2014, Monday. The event is Asian Fashion week 2014. The big news is that Nepali fashion designer Madan Paudel is participating and representing Nepal in the event. With the joint effort and initiation of Nepal Fashion Federation and Nepal Fashion Designers Association Madan got this opportunity to represent Nepal at Asian Fashion Week 2014. Madan is an aspiring fashion designer working as a freelancer and a graduating fashion designer of IEC College of art and fashion.
According to the schedule of ASIAN FASHION WEEK 2014, Madan would showcase his creations on Sunday 17th of August 2014, the day when the designers from Indonesia Sunday, Brunei, Cameroon, and Australia would showcase their part. During the fashion week Madan would be presenting 10 numbers of casual dresses, 5 numbers of Cultural dresses, 5 numbers of eco-friendly dresses, a master piece, an event guard and an haute couture. As been told designer Madan will be trying to promote Nepali Dhaka clothing and embroidery designs through his creativity.
Asian Fashion week takes its objective to become a major Fashion movement for Asian Designers facilitating a platform optimizing their exposure internationally, while developing global reach for its expansion, leading to economic growth and understanding on the principal of fair and free trade. The event is also focused in Integrating Asian Fashion Designers on to a singular stage on a yearly and annual basis to compete on an equal level playing field with global Designers developing their respective competitive edge, and the development of a Proprietary Label for the promotion and commercialization of selected Designers and products.
Asian fashion week 2014 will celebrate the showcase of fashion designs by the designers from 58 countries from Asia which includes Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia China incl., HK & Macau, Georgia, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordon Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor Leste, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam & Yemen.
This is the first time ever when a Nepali fashion designer has participated at international level with an official approach. We wish Madan and his team for the successful participation at Asian Fashion Week 2014.
