Rojin Shakya | Country’s the biggest four day fashion flair finally ended on Saturday April 2 2016. Organized by APCA events and coordinated by IEC School of Art & Fashion, four day fashion affair was choreographed by Sijan Bhattachan. Suman Lama was responsible for the look of models regarding their hair styles and makeup.

The national divas who walked through the runway at Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu included Aastha Pokharel, Niti Shah, Alka Rai, Lumanti Shakya, Jenny Maharjan, Pooja Shrestha, Sikshya Shakya, Rheanna Limbu, Bhawawan Khadka, Sudishi Thapa, Basana Timilsena, Jasmine Gurung, Shikshya Sangroula, Soni Shrestha, Sabita Karki and Muna Gauchan.

The team of international divas who made the fashion fair more happening were Alexia Fereiro, Natalia Dvoretckaia, Nikita Sachdev and Anna Zub.

The fourth and final day of TGIF Nepal Fashion Week 2016 started off with the collections of designer Sushma Singh from Women’s planet boutique. Her collection had lehengas and long circular dresses accompanied with stylish blouse. Golden touch was the signature style of this collection. Former Miss Nepal Shristi Shrestha made her appearance as the show stopper, this time it was her second in this fashion week.

The show stealer of the day was upcoming fashion designer Manish Rai, a student at Namuna College. His collection featured long voluminous gowns, circular attires, short skirt dresses and a ball gown having a lot of shining elements and were presented in eye catching multi colors. As a show stopper for this collection former Miss Nepal Malina Joshi looked like an Angel all dressed white floor sweeping voluminous dress.

The final day ended with final two collections of designer Daljit Sudan. The first one was the collection inspired by Laliguras having the various forms of dresses presented in whites and reds. The second collection was based on sunjhyal , the golden window, an exclusive piece of Nepali architecture. With sophisticated cuts and high elaborated dresses, the inspiration of the collection was depicted through embroideries and designing works on the fabric. Banker Dr. Raveena Deshraj Shrestha walked as the show stopper for this collection.

The forth day of glitz and glamour also showcased the creativity of Sony Rana Magar and Asmita Rai. With leathers, chains, frills and color black the collection was something different to watch. Samsa Din Miya’s collection had actress Deepsikha Shahi to open his presentation and Beauty queen Nilam Chand to wrap up. The models flaunted gowns and dresses in various colors mostly on the dark shades like black, maroon and ink blue.

More of black and teal color got life through the collection presented by team of Mallika Shakya, Muna Shrestha and Samita Shrestha. Long length dresses with various silhouettes were the elements of this collection. Upcoming designer Manita Adhikari was found inspired by 70’s flare. It had dresses worked on shiny and fluid fabrics. The looks were vintage, retro and modern day as well.

Mermaids and fish tail styles in various lengths walked through the runway with the presentation of Anima Shakya, Min Pradhan and Rebika Ranjitkar. The another collection presented on the final day of Nepal Fashion week was by the team of Sunita Shrestha, Srijana Lingden and Risang Dolma Lama. With vivid colors and lovely textures of floral effect the collection was subject on various lengths of A-line silhouettes.
