Dance Star Teriya Magar Makes Acting Debut in ‘Mitajyu’
The upcoming Nepali film ‘Mitajyu’, set to release on Jeth 8, is being presented as a complete entertainment package filled with emotion, culture, friendship, and strong performances.
At a time when audiences expect both meaningful storytelling and entertainment from cinema, the makers of ‘Mitajyu’ say the film combines social themes with engaging characters, music, and emotional depth.
One of the biggest highlights of the movie is the presence of Teriya Phounja Magar, who is making her acting debut through the film. Known for winning hearts in Nepal and India with her incredible dance talent, Teriya is not appearing just for a dance number. Instead, she plays one of the film’s main characters.
The audience will not only get to see her dancing skills on screen but also experience her acting for the first time. The teaser and promotional materials released so far have already created excitement around her role.
The film is directed by Anil Budha Magar, who previously delivered the successful movie ‘Gharjwai’. The movie also stars two of Nepali cinema’s most loved actors, Dayahang Rai and Saugat Malla, who will once again be seen sharing screen space.
The chemistry and conflict between Dayahang and Saugat have been popular among audiences in previous films, and ‘Mitajyu’ is expected to continue that excitement.
Alongside them, the film features performances by Khadga Bahadur Pun Magar (Khabapu), Shishir Wangdel, Pushkar Gurung, Raj Thapa, Suwarna Thapa, Anu Thapa, and Smita Lamichhane.
Produced by Janak Gharti Magar, ‘Mitjyu’ is deeply rooted in Nepali rural culture. The story focuses on village life, traditions, friendship, and emotional relationships. According to the production team, the film is expected to connect strongly with audiences because of its relatable storytelling and authentic village setting.
