Dayahang Rai and Saugat Malla

The upcoming Nepali film ‘Mitajyu’ is set to release on Jeth 8, bringing back one of the most loved on screen duos Dayahang Rai and Saugat Malla. Their pairing has consistently drawn audience attention, not just because of their acting skills, but also due to their strong screen presence and unique chemistry.

Over the years, both actors have established themselves as among the most reliable performers in Nepali cinema. They have delivered multiple memorable performances individually, but together, they have created something even more impactful. Their collaboration dates back to ‘Loot’, a film that changed the tone of modern Nepali cinema. They later reunited in ‘Kabaddi’, which also became a major success.

Now, with ‘Mitajyu’, the duo is back again and expectations are naturally high. The film appears to lean into what audiences already love about them: conflict, tension, and layered characters. The teaser and poster suggest a story where the two characters are constantly at odds connected, yet unable to fully agree or coexist peacefully.

This kind of dynamic has worked well for them in the past. Audiences have shown a strong preference for watching Dayahang and Saugat in roles where their characters clash. It adds drama, energy, and unpredictability to the story, making their scenes more engaging.

Producer Janak Gharti Magar is confident that ‘Mitajyu’ will stand out. According to him, the way conflict is built in the film and how the characters are written will keep audiences entertained throughout. He believes this project could become one of the memorable collaborations between the two actors.

Directed by Anil Budha Magar, the film also features Teria Fauj Magar, Pushkar Gurung, Shishir Wangdel, Raj Thapa, and others. Notably, this marks Teria’s debut in Nepali cinema, adding a fresh element to the cast.

With a mix of proven chemistry and new energy, ‘Mitjyu’ is shaping up to be a film worth watching. Whether it can match or surpass the success of ‘Loot’ and ‘Kabaddi’ remains to be seen but one thing is clear: the buzz is real.
