Miss Grand Nepal Season 9 Crowns Sushmita Bomjan in Kathmandu

Sushmita Bomjan has been crowned Miss Grand Nepal Season 9, taking home the top title during the pageant’s grand finale held at the auditorium of the Film Development Board in Kathmandu.

Along with the coveted crown, Sushmita received a cash prize of NPR 25,000, a framed Thanka artwork, an international travel ticket and various gift hampers. She also added the Miss Talent subtitle to her achievements.

Arunima Lamsal secured the title of Miss Grand Universe, receiving NPR 15,000 and a framed Thanka. Aayisha Raut was crowned Miss Grand Earth and received NPR 10,000 along with a framed Thanka. Aayisha also won the Most Creative and Miss Multimedia subtitle awards.

The finale began with a colourful cultural presentation featuring contestants in traditional ethnic attire representing Nepal’s diverse communities. The opening segment highlighted the country’s cultural richness while giving the participants an opportunity to showcase tradition and identity on stage.

In the second round, the contestants appeared in elegant red cocktail ensembles for the question-and-answer segment. Their responses highlighted their confidence, communication skills, awareness of contemporary issues and ability to express their views clearly.

For the final presentation, the contestants walked the stage in exclusive designer creations by Samikchhya Lamichhane. The collection brought an added touch of glamour to the finale as the participants showcased their personality, elegance and stage confidence.

The pageant was organized by RK Entertainment Group under the leadership of President Lucky Ram K.C. and CEO Nisha Acharya.

Renowned fashion choreographer, media personality and event presenter Rojin Shakya handled the choreography and hosting of the event.

Several regional titles and subtitle awards were also presented during the competition. Dipti Jha won Miss Grand Madhesh and was also named Miss Glamour. Sabina Senchuri received the Miss Grand Bagmati crown, while Om Kala Majhi won Miss Grand Koshi along with the Photogenic subtitle. Grishma Chaudhary was crowned Miss Grand Purbanchal.

Through its combination of fashion, talent, cultural presentation and personality-based competition, Miss Grand Nepal Season 9 offered young women a platform to showcase their confidence, individuality and abilities while celebrating Nepal’s cultural heritage.
