
Samragyi Moktan Tamang wins Miss Tamang 2026, The cultural pageant celebrated Tamang heritage, confidence, empowerment, and emerging young leaders.
The 18th edition of Miss Tamang 2026 was held in a grand and vibrant atmosphere at The Blue Pavilion, Exhibition Road, Kathmandu, bringing together culture, elegance, and youthful ambition. The prestigious event was organized by Moms International Nepal under the leadership of Ranjeeta Lama and featured 17 young Tamang contestants, each representing grace, intellect, and cultural pride.
After an intense and inspiring competition, Samragyi Moktan Tamang from Boudha, Kathmandu was crowned Miss Tamang 2026. She further secured Viewer’s Choice and Most Confident titles. She was also awarded with cash prize of rupees 50 thousand.
Sushma Syangdan Tamang was announced as First Runner-up along with cash prize of rupees thirty thousand followed by Sristi Theeng Tamang as Second Runner-up, and Osin Goley Tamang as Third Runner-up. They received cash prize of rupees 20 thousand and 10 thousand respectively. Sristi also received the photogenic award.
The program unfolded through a series of captivating segments including a welcome dance performance, introduction round, evening gown showcase, Top Ten question-and-answer session, and the final Top Five Q&A round. The entire event was creatively directed and choreographed by fashion choreographer and media personality Rojin Shakya, ensuring a polished and professional presentation.
The pageant also recognized outstanding performances through various special titles. Devi Waiba Tamang was honored with the Talent Award. Aishwarya Ghising Tamang stood out with the Best Dress and Multimedia Awards.
Sujina Gongba Tamang was awarded Best Walk and Beautiful Hair. Kabina Waiba Tamang earned the Personality Award, and Puja Jimba Tamang was recognized with the Discipline Award and Swornima Theeng Tamang received the Smile Award, while Miss Tamang is conducted with the vision of preserving and promoting Tamang heritage, identity, and traditions, while offering a dedicated platform for young Tamang women to discover their potential, strengthen self-confidence, refine communication abilities, and develop social and leadership skills.
The pageant serves as a stepping stone for personal growth, empowerment, and representation of the Tamang community on broader platforms.
The finale witnessed the presence of cultural leaders, fashion professionals, media representatives, and supporters, making Miss Tamang 2026 a remarkable celebration of beauty with purpose and cultural empowerment.
