An excellent display of meticulously crafted dresses with the use of a hand woven natural fiber cloth Khadi, was been witnessed in beautiful and exclusive showcase called Khadi Fashion show. The event was organized by the Indian Embassy at India house in association with the South Asia Foundation, Nepal. The show was organized to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
In the event, models were spotted walking on the runway showcasing the creative use of Khadi, which was been popularized by Gandhi during freedom movement in India. The show had exclusive collections showcased by Tara Bhuyan Couture, Charu Parashar and House of Kotwara by Meera and Muzaffar Ali and Sabah Nepal.
Along with the Indian models the popular faces from modeling scene of Nepal, Nitika Chandak, Dikpal Karki, Bikram Aditya Mahaseth, Niti Shah, Sabita Karki, Urrusha Joshi, Paramita RL Rana were spotted. The event saw the attendance of former ministers, ambassadors, high level officials and people from different fields and fraternities.
