Fashion Asia Awards : 2016 IEC College of Art & Fashion has been honored as Asian Top fashion organization of the year.
Rojin Shakya | Day by day the modeling and fashion scene of Nepal is becoming a buzz at international arena. The beauties and hunks of Nepal have been successful in many of the occasions at various international pageants.
Nepali models are also been able to create a space at international runways and this time one more successful step is been moved ahead. In a recently showcased Fashion Asia Awards 2016 IEC College of Art & Fashion has been honored as Asian Top fashion organization of the year.
IEC was been awarded as the best after being judged among the final nominations in the respective category. In the award ceremony, the Managing Director for the college Mrs. Shailaja Adhikary received the awards. The award ceremony of Asia Fashion awards 2016 was held on December 30th 2016 at Chongqing, China.
Apart from the award winning category Nepal was also in the final nominations of other two categories. Sanish Shakya, former Manhunt International Nepal, was in the final nominations for the category called Asian Top fashion male model of the year and Khubu Gauchan Lama was in the final nominations for the category called Asian Top fashion stylist of the year.
In the above categories Zheng Ximing from China won Asian Top fashion stylist of the year while Tymeron Carvalho from Sri Lanka won Asian Top fashion model of the year award. For Fashion Asia Awards 2016, the team Nepal was been nominated and coordinated by Group of Event Entertainers, G.E.E. an official franchise for Nepal.
Fashion Asia Awards 2016 is the first establishment of its kind in the world, also known as the Oscar of the Asian Fashion World. Asian Fashion World is the first cooperation platform created for the Asian Fashion industry by the world fashion media association. It annually rewards outstanding accomplishments and excellent individuals in the fashion industry. The 160 judges of Fashion Asia comprises of TV Directors, Chief Editors of fashion magazines, fashion industry association Chairmen and a queue of celebrities.
