The film started release from Brazil on November 19. Then, it was released in Malaysia, UK, Greece and Estonia on November 20 and started from November 21 in USA. The film is releasing in India from November 28 (Mangsir 12).
The film is the sequel film of ‘The Hunger Game: Catching the Fire’ based on the novel of Suzanne Collins. Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Philip Seymour Hoffman have acted.
The film earned 227 million US dollar on the first week of its release. The film is 28th to earn 100 USD in first week after May 2002. It is the last movie for Philip Seymour Hoffman. He passed away one week before the release of the movie.
