To mark the celebration of Harper’s Bazaar Magazine (Vietnam)’s 10th anniversary, four former Misses from the Philippines have been featured on the cover. The ladies who are seen on the cover of the 10th anniversary Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam, are all the queens of the World’s four most prestigious pageants. They are Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Earth 2015 Angelia Ong, and Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa.
Megan Young is the first Philippine beauty to win Miss World. The lady was crowned as Miss World 2013, the 63rd edition of the pageant held on 28th September 2013 showcased at Bali Nusa Dua International Convention Center, South Kuta, Bali, Indonesia where contestants from 127 countries competed for the title award of Miss World 2013.
Pia Wurtzbach is the third Philippine beauty after 42 years who won Miss Universe 2015, the 64th edition of the pageant that was held on December 20 2015 hosted at The AXIS in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States where 80 contestants from different corners of the globe competed for the crown of Miss Universe.
Angelia Ong is the winner of the 15th edition of Miss Earth Pageant, crowned as Miss Earth 2015 held on December 5 2015 at Marx Halle in Vienna, Austria. It was also the first back-to-back victory in Miss Earth history from any country since in 2014 Jamie Herrell from the Philippines was been the winner. Kylie Verzosa is the winner of Miss International 2016, the 56th Miss International pageant hosted on October 27 2016 showcased at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The shoot for the cover 10th Anniversary issue of Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam was done by BJ Pascual while the creative director for the shoot was Eldzs Mejia. Adriannne Concepcion was responsible for the styling while Dodley Gallardo and Kring Mallari were the assistant stylists. The make-up was been performed by Mac Igarta, Mickey See, and Anthea Bueno while Aries Manal and Renz Pagilinan were the professionals behind the hair-do.
Harper’s Bazaar is an American monthly women’s fashion magazine. It was first published in New York City on November 2, 1867, as the weekly Harper’s Bazar. It was not until 1901 Harper’s moved to a monthly issued magazine which it maintains today. The name changed to Harper’s Bazaar was filed on December 30, 1930
