‘Speak to me’ a talk show by fashion choreographer Rojin Shakya via social media Facebook would have live interaction with one of the most celebrated Fashion Designer Yubi Thapa on 25th July Saturday.
Starting the journey as a student designer at Namuna College of Fashion Technology, NCFT, Yubi Thapa is the 10th batch graduating student of NCFT. Yubi today is not only an individual he has been a brand name for Nepalese fashionistas. He is the CEO and lead designer at his label called YUBI THAPA, popularly known for exquisite designs been adorned by almost all the top-notch Nepali celebrities of different fields.
Priyanka Karki, Namrata Shrestha, Samragyee RL Shah, Paramita RL Rana, Shraddha Gurung, Anmol KC, Anna Sharma Anupama Aura Gurung, Niti Shah, Ishani Shrestha, Neelam Chand are among some of the well-known figures who have flaunted his designs.
With his exclusive clothing store ‘YUBI THAPA’ located at Chhaya Center, Thamel, the style preneur Yubi is more known for his specialties in the gown, lehenga, bridal and modern dresses. The man has another label called ‘YURESA’ a ready to wear store inspired from globally trendy apparel with the latest styles at an affordable price. The store is been located at People’s Plaza, Newroad.
His creativity has garnered acclaim domestically in TGIF Nepal Fashion Week and various other fashion events. He has also showcased his spectacular collections internationally as well. From New York to Australia, Hong Kong to UK, the man has been able to be the show-stealer through his fabulous creations and designs.
Yubi has also been able to create a buzz as a Costume designer in the Nepali movies. His works have been seen in movies like Prem Geet 1 & 2, Bir Bikram, Kri, A Mero Hajur 2, Intu Mintu London Ma, Happy Days etcetera. The man was awarded as the Best Costume Designer for the movie ‘Prem Geet’ in the 9th NEFTA Film Awards held in Dubai in the year 2016.
The 22nd edition of Speak to me would go live on 25th July Saturday at 4 pm on the Facebook page of Rojin Shakya and would be covered by glamournepal.com, the promotional partner for the talk show.
