SASYĀRĀ – The Veil of Abundance, a preview design for Journey of Fashion XXI
Nepal’s cultivated landscapes are the inspiration behind SASYĀRĀ – The Veil of Abundance, the second design preview for Namuna College of Fashion Technology’s Journey of Fashion XXI. In the newly shared photographs, a pale green fitted dress gives way to sweeping folds of deeper green, creating a silhouette that seems to grow and move with the model.
The look draws its idea from fields, greenery and the sense of abundance associated with a harvest. Its colour story begins with a soft, earthy green at the bodice and shifts through brighter yellow-green folds into a broad, dark green drape. Raised brown botanical motifs travel across the dress, adding texture without interrupting its fluid shape.

A veil falls around the model’s head and shoulders. Below it, the fitted section keeps the look close to the body, while the sculptural drape opens outward at the hips. That change in scale gives the design much of its drama: one part controlled and delicate, the other expansive and full of motion.
The photographs place the look among trees and dense greenery. Rather than depicting a farm directly, the setting extends the design’s connection to growth and the natural world.
The preview follows Sampadāko Rūpāntaran – Forged by Heritage, which explored Nepal’s artistic and spiritual heritage through a burgundy gown with gold detailing. Together, the two previews show how different teams are developing their own visual stories ahead of the graduation runway.

The wider show is titled Anantarūpavitānam – The Infinite Tapestry of Expressions. Glamour Nepal previously reported that the 21st graduation show is planned around six collections by 54 graduating designers.
Journey of Fashion XXI is scheduled for 10 October 2026 at The Plaza, Lalitpur. Namuna says its graduating students have presented their fashion shows under the Journey of Fashion title since 2005.
