Paras and Divya’s Chemistry Takes Centre Stage in Behuli Trailer
Just five days remaining for theatrical release, the makers of the Nepali film ‘Behuli’ have unveiled its official trailer at a special event held at Jai Nepal Hall in Kathmandu on Sunday.
The film’s promotional campaign had earlier been suspended in response to the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi region and the loss and hardship caused by the disaster. As the situation gradually eased, the production team resumed promotions with the trailer launch.
During the event, presenter and producer Arjun Pokharel also announced a relief initiative for flood-affected communities. He said 5 percent of the amount received by the producer from the film’s total box-office earnings will be donated to people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods through the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund.
The announcement was welcomed by filmmakers and media representatives attending the event.
Paras and Divya Lead the Romance
The trailer blends romance, family relationships, friendship, humour and conflict while offering a glimpse into the emotional journey of its central characters.
Paras Bam Thakuri, popularly known on social media as ‘Cool Boy’, shares the screen with actress Divya Rayamajhi, with their romantic chemistry emerging as one of the trailer’s key attractions.
Sushant Karki appears in a strong police role, while comedian Padam Tamang brings a lighter touch to the narrative. Santosh Baniya is also presented in a notably different role.
Directed by Sashan Kandel and written by Madhav Sharma, ‘Behuli’ is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on Bhadra 26.
The cast also includes Sarita Giri, Bishal Pahari, Karma Lama, Deepak Gauli, Bimal Yadav, Aviral Shrestha, Sabin Kattel and Samayara Thapa Magar.
Presented jointly by The Divine Music and Samman Entertainment, the film is presented by Arjun Pokharel and produced by Pratap Shamsher Rana. Shankar Koirala and Ramesh Silwal serve as executive producers, while Durga Kharel and Shishir Shrestha are co-producers. Kosis Raj Chhetri and Samrat Chhetri are the line producers.
The technical team includes DOP Narendra Mainali, editor Bikash Dahal and action choreographer Roshan Shrestha. Sudip Kunwar serves as chief assistant director, with Yogendra Karki and Marlov Dhungana as assistant directors.
Yam Prasad Oli is the production head, Kishor Nepal handles production design, Raju Waiba is responsible for makeup and Alex Basukala has designed the costumes.
Kafiya Films will distribute ‘Behuli’ inside the Kathmandu Valley, while Shree Venkatesh Entertainment will handle distribution outside the Valley. OSR Digital has acquired the film’s digital rights.
