December 17 at Kathmandu Marriott Hotel saw a charity fashion event named as A Walk for Warmth showcased Clothing Bank Nepal. The fashion event saw old donated clothes being used to make new wearables.
The vision of the event was share clothes, share warmth, share love and save life. The event has targeted to help pregnant woman, elders and children of Bara district by providing them with mattresses and blankets made out of donated clothes.
The well-known faces of modeling fraternity like Sabita Karki, Aastha Pokharel, Paramita RL Rana, beauty queens like Subeksha Khadka, Neelam Chand, Roshni Khatri etc. were spotted on the runway as directed by the choreographer of the event Prashant Tamrakar. The dresses from reused clothes were been designed by the talents from SAB Institute of art & Design and Nepal Institute of fashion, NIF.
