Fascinating expression explored at Pristine Masquerade, through 28 designs the upcoming talents in the fashion designing field, the 10th batch graduating students of Namuna College Fashion Technology were successful to impress the mass through their creative expression.
It was on 22nd of January 2016 an annual graduation academic fashion show named as Pristine Masquerade brought fascinating craftsmanship explored on various materials, fabrics and colors to add life to each of the masterpiece made by the graduating designers. May it be art, culture, heritage or tradition, the elements of nature like flower, animals, mountains, birds and others, all been inspired with the theme called promotion of tourism of Nepal was a creative round where designers went extraordinary but each being special.
Prior to show the creative designs were been prejudged through the swatch work of the dresses. As been informed by the college management the grades given at the Prejudgment Program will be combined with the grades given by the panel of judges to the designers’ individual creations under the “Creative Round” sequence at the Annual Graduation Fashion Show. The aggregate grade received by each graduating designer will then later be published by Purbanchal University under the subject “Fashion Show” as part of its End Semester Board Examinations of Bachelors of Fashion Design (BFD) program.
As this was a major part of the event it was been judged and evaluated by the panel judges which included Vice Chairperson of Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training, CTEVT, Dr. Kul Bahadur Basnet, Vice President of Saakha Group, Kiran Prakash Saakha, Fashion Designers Anu Shrestha and Mukta Shrestha, Managing Director of Nepal Fashion Pvt. Ltd. Hari Prasad Bhatta and Miss Nepal 2015 Evana Manandhar.
The event Choreographed by Rojin Shakya had three sequences in total. Besides the creative round the event saw rounds like Pashmina wear and Trends. Pashmina round had elegant draped designs features correlating to red carpet concept while Trends sequence had calf length dresses resembling the upcoming trend of 2016 where prints and colors were the highlight of the dresses. The event also felicitated the senior graduates of the college who were able to score highest in the faculty of Management affiliated to Purbanchal University. The senior graduates felicitated were Jyoti Bajracharya, Pragya Chitrakar and Sangita Thapa.
