The Family Man 3, led by Manoj Bajpayee, has arrived on Amazon Prime Video after three long years. In this season, veteran actor of Nepal Sunil Thapa makes a strong appearance in the spy thriller.

Thapa, one of Nepal’s most respected actors, steps into the role of David Khuju, a respected local leader and the head of the MCA in Nagaland. His character becomes a key figure in the Indian government’s ambitious new initiative, Project Sahkar, which focuses on restoring peace and development in the northeastern region.

Thapa’s Role in the series small but strong impact, David Khuju is central to the political storyline that drives the new season. As rebel groups rise and Chinese interference grows along the border, Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) and the NIA approach Khuju for crucial support. His decisions shape the success or failure of Project Sahkar, making his presence a turning point in the plot.

Even though Sunil Thapa appears selectively, his character holds weight. Every scene he appears in pushes the story forward and adds depth to the tense, high stakes atmosphere of the season.

Before winning hearts on the global OTT stage, Sunil Thapa built a remarkable career across Nepal and India. A former footballer-turned-model in 1974, he worked in Mumbai as a photojournalist for Junior Statesman before entering films. Known especially for his memorable negative roles, Thapa has given Nepali cinema standout performances in films like Mashaal (1982), Chino (1989), Tan Ta Sarai Bigris Ni Badri (2000), and God Lives in the Himalayas (2009).

His Hindi film journey began with Ek Duuje Ke Liye in 1981, followed by Manav Hatya, Albela, and his powerful role in Mary Kom (2014). He was last seen in GST – Galti Sirf Tumhari in 2017.

His appearance in The Family Man 3 adds another milestone to a career full of versatility and grit.

Following glowing reactions from viewers, Manoj Bajpayee took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm that the story will continue. “All answers will come in the fourth season. See you soon,” he wrote, sending fans into another wave of excitement.
