Reecha Sharma builds houses for deprived Indonesians People

Actress Reecha Sharma, who is a Goodwill Ambassador of Habitat for Humanity, has kept herself engaged in social works since around a year. The actress had helped to build houses for landless farmers of Chitwan and Kavre districts few months ago.

Reecha had recently visited some villages in Singapore and Indonesia. She had reached Indonesia as part of campaign to work for those with low income. During her one week long tour, the actress realized that Indonesia has many similarities with Nepal. Houses built out of mud, people with low income and roads similar to Nepal.

“We found that all family members were forced to live in a single room,” she said, “We managed wider spaces for them.” Habitat for Humanity plans to construct some 100 house in Pokhara for landless squatters. The organization plans to construct 10 lakhs houses within Nepal by 2020 and the actress is active in the mission. Former US President Jimmy Carter will be visiting Nepal for the purpose.

The actress who has already acted in ‘Visa Girl’, ‘Uma’, ‘Talakjung Vs Tulke’, received award for ‘Best Actress’ under Critics Awards for ‘Uma’.
