Creative Institute of Fashion Technology Announces Miss Glam World Nepal 2026
Creative Institute of Fashion Technology (CIFT) is set to organize the national beauty pageant Miss Glam World Nepal 2026, with applications now open for aspiring contestants.
Designed around fashion, beauty, personality, leadership and talent, the competition aims to provide young Nepali women with a platform to showcase their abilities at both national and international levels, according to CIFT chief Suchita Sachi.
The pageant’s activities are scheduled to take place in several stages between September 11 and November 28, 2026 (Bhadra 25 to Mangsir 12, 2083).
Under the currently announced eligibility criteria, women aged 16 to 32 can apply. Contestants must have a minimum height of 155 cm (5 feet 1 inch).
The application fee has been set at Rs 1,000. Interested applicants can contact CIFT representative Madhuri Karna for registration and further information about the competition.
Audition to Select 25 Contestants
Following the application process, an audition is scheduled for Saturday, Asoj 10.
A total of 25 contestants will be selected through the audition and will then undergo training under the direction of choreographer Rojin Shakya.
The grand finale is scheduled for Mangsir 5 at The Plaza in Pulchowk, Lalitpur.
Organizers Plan to Select Delegates for Three International Titles
Alongside the main Miss Glam World Nepal title, organizers are working on a format that could allow the national competition to identify Nepali representatives for three international pageant titles.
According to the organizers, the plan is to select deserving delegates for Miss Glam Universe Nepal, Miss Glam World Nepal and Miss Teen Glam World Nepal through a single national platform.
The idea was proposed as a more practical alternative to staging separate competitions for different age groups at intervals of one or two months, which organizers said could create additional operational and management challenges.
The exact age-group structure for the individual titles, however, is still under discussion.
Organizers are considering a framework covering contestants between 16 and 30/32 years of age, while discussions are continuing over whether the age categories and corresponding titles should be clearly defined during the application and audition process or explained in greater detail during the competition.
CIFT said the final structure will also take into account the official titles and provisions mentioned in the directorship letter received from the international organization.
The organizers also have plans to stage separate annual competitions for the Miss and Mrs categories in the future. For now, the focus remains on Miss Glam World Nepal 2026 and on creating opportunities for suitable contestants to reach different international platforms through one national event.
Winner to Represent Nepal at Miss Glam World 2026
One of the major opportunities attached to the competition is international representation.
The winner of Miss Glam World Nepal 2026 will earn the opportunity to officially represent Nepal at Miss Glam World 2026, which organizers say will be held in India toward the end of 2026.
Suchita Sachi believes the international opportunity will allow the winner to introduce her talent and identity to a wider audience beyond Nepal.
“The competition will evaluate not only physical beauty but also the participants’ personality, confidence, leadership ability, talent, presentation skills and social awareness,” Sachi said.
CIFT says the pageant is intended to create a meaningful platform for young women interested in fashion and beauty, giving them an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities while also exploring potential professional opportunities in the field.
