Merina could be synonymous termed as a sash queen as she went through three various pageants before she conquered victory as the queen in her fourth attempt. In the year 2014, she was spotted in Miss Mongol Nepal 2014, and acknowledging her outstanding performance she was awarded the previous excellence award in Miss Mongol Nepal 2015. Merina also did compete for Miss Limbu 2014 organized by Yakthung Youth Association and stood as one of the top five finalists and earned the award of Miss Friendly. Also, she was awarded as most popular pageant title winner mofasal at Pageant Nepal Fashion Model Award 2019.
Friday 16th October, in ‘Speak to me’ a talk show by fashion choreographer Rojin Shakya via social media Facebook would witness a live conversation with Miss Nepal Idol 2018, media person and a fashion choreographer Merina Tumsa Limbu.
Later in 2017 Merina was spotted as the second runner-up at Miss National Icon 2017 organized by Bright Entertainment and in the year 2018, she registered the victory as Miss Nepal Idol 2018 organized by Amazon Entertainment and showcased at Rashtriya Naachghar, Jamal.
Besides pageantry Merina has earned fame in the media sector as well. She is one of the most popular media individuals in the eastern region of Nepal. The beautiful lass from Dharan is currently working as RJ at Vijaypur FM, Dharan, and as a Television presenter at Kriti Television, Dharan. As a freelance emcee, the lady has hosted numbers of events including pageants, musical and cultural events. Merina has also transformed herself into a fashion choreographer and has choreographed various pageants and fashion shows. The lady is also the brand ambassador at Good Health Good Life Green Tea.
