Documentary ‘Kakhara’ has been prepared based on the story of a primary-level student who was killed after being trapped in toilet of the school in Kathmandu due to punishment from his teacher few years ago.
The first look and trailer of the documentary was made public amidst media persons in Damak, Jhapa.
“The documentary has been prepared with the help of different media reports, report prepared by Department of Education, investigative reports made by different INGOs/NGOs and research by education experts,” said director Dikesh Lama.
According to him, the documentary will be screened in all schools across Nepal. The documentary has been shot at Reed Model School and Tarun High School of Kathmandu. Superstar Rajesh Hamal narrates the story in the documentary.
Saujanya Subba, Bhupen Chand, Gajit Bista, Shree Krishna Neupane, Radha Krishna Dhakal and Kailash Pandey have acted in the documentary in which 8-year-old artist Saugat Bista can be seen in lead role.
Surya Gurung is producer of the documentary produced under the banner of Garbu Films Pvt Ltd. The documentary is edited by Ananta Ghimire and shot by Hari Ghale Lama, while Surendra Rajbhandari is dance director.
