Actor Suleman Shankar (Iku) has been added in the lists of celebrities spending divorced life. Iku, who tied nuptial knot with Jaya KC of Pokhara some five years ago, separated on Ashar this year.
Four months have passed since the divorce. After Jaya realized that her love for boyfriend is greater than her husband, Iku himself paved way for separation wishing her for happy life.
According to reports, Jaya was in affair with a Nepali youth in Qatar, which ultimately resulted in divorce. Iku got separated after he saw love conversations with her boyfriend on Viber and Facebook.
Iku produced ‘Iku Back Again’, by portraying her wife as a lead actress. Unfortunately the film made with a hefty investment of Rs 7 million failed to impress at the box office. After the movie flopped, the relationship between the couple was mired into problems which finally resulted in divorce.
Suleman became famous in entertainment world after he played the character of ‘Iku’ in comedy serial ‘Meri Bassai’. Then, He produced film ‘Iku’ that created new earning records. The couple met during a function organized in Pokhara and later married.
According to report, the couple formally decided to end their married life on Asar 17, the fifth anniversary of their marriage. “Yes, we have separated. But, don’t want to comment on the topic,” he said.
