Endless Trails, a shepherd-inspired couture look previewed for Journey of Fashion XXI
Winding mountain paths, wool and the animals that travel alongside shepherds have inspired Endless Trails, the fourth design preview for Namuna College of Fashion Technology’s Journey of Fashion XXI. In the photographs, a fitted corset meets a sweeping skirt and curled, horn-inspired forms at the shoulders, bringing the designers’ story into focus.
The look begins with the materials. Its skirt is made from hand-felted wool, layered with hand-rolled fibres arranged in organic patterns that evoke twisting trails. Above it, a silk and mesh corset gives the silhouette a closely shaped centre. The contrast between the broad skirt and fitted bodice makes the shoulder pieces even more striking.

Those sculptural pieces take their shape from animal horns, an element that connects the design to the creatures accompanying a shepherd’s journey. According to the design description, the horns were crafted using aluminium foil and clay. Soft wool surrounds the forms, adding texture to a detail that might otherwise appear severe.
The images show model @xetrisaman among tall grasses and beside a large rock. One photograph lets the pale skirt fill much of the frame, showing its scale and movement. The closer portraits bring attention to the corset, wool and curled shoulder details. @capture.photography.nepal photographed the look.

Endless Trails draws on a way of life shaped by movement. Its references to paths, fibres and animals come together in a couture design rather than a literal shepherd’s outfit. Felting, rolling, layering and sculpting give each part its own texture while keeping the journey at the centre of the concept.
Nine designers are listed in the preview: @hangdimahangma.x, @jy0tigurung, @nishagiri83, @prinitamagar, @prabeshikathamsuhang, @pe_ma_ss, Pratima, @rasna_ and @xetrisaman. The model is also among the credited designers.
The preview follows three contrasting looks already shared for Journey of Fashion XXI: Sampadāko Rūpāntaran, inspired by artistic heritage; SASYĀRĀ, shaped by agricultural landscapes; and ANVAYA, which explores traditional adornment. Endless Trails brings mountain life and the feel of handmade wool into the series.
Namuna’s 21st graduation show, Anantarūpavitānam – The Infinite Tapestry of Expressions, is scheduled for 10 October 2026 at The Plaza, Lalitpur. Earlier event details outlined six collections by 54 graduating designers.
