Deepak and Deepa inaugurate Beauty Salon in Texas USA
Popular Nepali comedy duo Deepak Raj Giri and Deepa Shree Niraula, currently on their Chhakka Panja USA Comedy Tour, have inaugurated a new branch of ‘New Super Cut Hair & Beauty Salon’ in Texas, USA. The grand opening took place on Saturday amid a lively event, where actor Mahadev Tripathi joined them as a special guest.
After the inauguration, the beloved comedy pair even got their haircuts and coloring done at the salon, adding a touch of fun to the event.
Originally founded in Kumaripati, Lalitpur, the salon’s first branch was established in Civil Mall, Sundhara, Kathmandu, before expanding internationally. The newly opened Texas outlet marks the second U.S. branch of the popular Nepali run beauty salon.
Owned and managed by Surendra Thakur, who has been in the profession for over 25 years, the salon offers services in hair cutting, coloring, and massage for both men and women. His wife, Sunita Thakur, has been his partner in running the business. Interestingly, the first U.S. branch of the salon was inaugurated by actor Rajesh Hamal, with the entire event management handled by Mahadev Tripathi.
Meanwhile, Deepak and Deepa recently performed in Texas at the ‘MOMO Festival 2025 – Dashain Tihar Mela’ as part of their ongoing Chhakka Panja USA Comedy Tour. Their show featured a mix of stand-up comedy by Jitu Nepal and musical performances by singers Prem Raja Mahat, Asmita Adhikari, and Mahesh Kafle, delighting Nepali audiences in the U.S. with a blend of laughter and music.
