Deepak Raj Giri provides financial support to rebuild Thangkot Police Station after Gen-Z protest damage.
Actor and filmmaker Deepak Raj Giri has extended a generous hand by donating NPR 5 lakh to help rebuild the Thangkot Police Office, which was severely damaged during the recent Gen-Z protests.
Deepak, who hails from Thangkot, personally visited the Thangkot Police Circle located at the checkpoint in Kathmandu to hand over the support amount to DSP Eliza Giri.
The police station was one of the government properties set ablaze and vandalized during last week’s Gen-Z demonstrations. The fire caused massive damage to infrastructure, communications equipment, uniforms, and other essential resources worth an estimated NPR 7 crores. Ironically, the office had only shifted to a newly constructed building five months ago.
Speaking about his contribution, Deepak said: “In such a situation, I felt it was important to boost the morale of our police personnel. This is just the beginning from my side, and I plan to extend support wherever possible in the days ahead.”
On the work front, the Chhakka Panja star is preparing for the “Chhakka Panja Tour USA,” which kicks off next week in America. After returning from the tour, Deepak is expected to dive back into new film projects.
