19th of February 2016 marked a competition for the contestants of Miss Newa 1136 called Attire show. This was a sub competition for the title award Miss Best Attire. During the runway performance Twenty two contestants of 11th season of Miss Newa Pageant performed in various attires inspired by Newar culture, tradition, art and craftsmanship. Almost all the attires had Haku patasi and Nepali Dhaka in common. The attires flaunted by the contestants were modernized or fusion version of traditional dresses of Newar community. The jewelry, styling and overall look was also based influenced from Newar culture.
Besides the attire round the contestants of Miss Newa 1136 did performed on various designs of silk sarees from Sumdima Silk Palace. During the performance various designs of Muga silk sarees made their appearance on the runway. The sarees were beautiful with eye captivating color combination and had royal look with adorable prints and works. The runway performance was been choreographed by Rojin Shakya.
The event also saw selected past years contestants who modeled for Livit calendar conceptualized and produced by Livit Entetainment. The Livit calendar was initiated two years back incorporating Miss Newa contestants of that year and had a theme Newar Bride. The second year’s calendar was based on Rajamati and upcoming calendar will depict pictorial story of Living Goddess Kumari. In the event former and reigning Miss Newa title holders also made their runway appearance.
