The first Mrs. Nepal Canada 2024 has finished well. This event was a big moment in Canada, focusing on women’s strength, confidence, and skills.
The competition happened at Speranza Banquet Hall in Brampton, Canada. It was organized by the Women’s Education and Skill Development Organization, Canada, and Nepalese Fashion Home, Nepal. Ten lovely contestants wore beautiful designer clothes made by 19th batch students from Namuna College of Fashion Technology. The audience loved them, and the hall echoed with applause.
In an interesting part, the six finalists answered a question about the world’s problems. Shristi Shrestha Amatya’s response stood out. She talked about the need for empathy and understanding in our connected but divided world. People liked her perspective, and she won, becoming the first Mrs. Nepal Canada 2024. She also got the Friendship award.
Alisha Rajbhandari got the first runner-up and photogenic title, and Rasmi Kali Thapa became the second runner-up. Amy Karmacharya won the Talent award, and Shyam Limbu got the Public Choice award.
Rojina Tamrakar, Deputy Chief of Mission, was the chief guest. The judges, including Professor Nira Sharma, Dr. Sangeeta Dhaubdel, Subheksha Bhatta, and Nilu Keshari, played a crucial role.
Chanda Shrestha, WESDO Canada’s Chairman, welcomed everyone, and Hema Manandhar, Nepalese Fashion Home Nepal’s Chairman, talked about the importance of such programs.
