Director Krisha Chaulagain is all set to take her upcoming film ‘Paras’ to the floors. The film is scheduled to begin shooting from Asar 15 in and around Kathmandu.
The production team has already finalized the filming schedule and recently conducted a face test for the actors. The look test was held at Balaju Lab, where the team reviewed character-based appearances for the film.
Krisha said that most of the pre-production work has now been completed. According to her, the film is moving into production with full preparation.
Produced under the banner of KP Films, Paras has already signed a strong lineup of actors, including Nikhil Upreti, Ramesh Upreti, Niruta Singh, Sushil Shrestha, Jassita Gurung and Pushkar Gurung. The team is still in the process of finalizing a few more cast members.
A few weeks ago, the film recorded its first song. The track has been sung by Sajja Chaulagain, winner of Nepal Idol Season 3. The lyrics and music are by Koshish Chhetri.
The screenplay of Paras has been written by Indian writer Sachin Ladiya. Purushottam Pradhan will handle the cinematography, while Man Krishna Maharjan and Shekhar Bahadur Tamang will be part of the camera team.
The film also brings together an experienced technical crew. Rabin Bakhel is the production manager, and Shukra Raj Shah will direct the action sequences.
Satyam Rana and Sameer Miya will handle the VFX, while Saroj Budhathoki is in charge of makeup. Kuldip Sharma will work as the chief assistant director.
The dance sequences will be choreographed by Kaviraj Gahatraj. Renish Phago is the colorist, and Rakesh Dahal will look after publicity and poster design.
The background score will be composed by Kalacharan, while Geeta Guraya will handle the mixing.
With a star-heavy cast, a strong technical team and Krisha Chaulagain’s action-oriented image, Paras has already created buzz in the Nepali film industry. As the film now heads into production, audience curiosity around the project is steadily growing.
