Veteran Nepali actress Gauri Malla has joined the cast of the upcoming film ‘Man Binako Dhan 2’. The production team says she has been selected for an important role in the film, which will be directed by Tanka Budathoki.
Malla’s addition further strengthens a cast that already includes Saroj Khanal, Bipin Karki, Pooja Sharma and Mahesh Tripathi. Experienced performers Kiran KC, Prakash Ghimire and Shankar Shrestha are also set to appear in the project.
Known for her commanding screen presence and character-driven performances, Malla was most recently seen in ‘Pitambar’. She later made a cameo appearance in ‘PR’ and has remained active in television programmes.
‘Man Binako Dhan 2’ is being produced under the banner of Tanka Budathoki Production. Shivam Adhikari has written the screenplay and dialogues.
The production team is preparing to begin filming in the first week of Bhadra. The film will be shot at different locations across Kathmandu Valley, with additional filming planned in Mustang.
Details about the storyline and the characters have not yet been formally revealed. The production has also not clearly announced whether Ashok Darji and AR Budathoki, who were associated with the earlier film, will return for the sequel.
A mix of veteran actors, popular stars and acclaimed character performers, ‘Man Binako Dhan 2’ has started attracting attention even before cameras begin rolling. The film’s first-look materials, character announcements and release plans are now likely to be closely watched.
