Actress and model Kabita Nepali has joined director Rupesh Tamang’s upcoming action project ‘Ekka Teen’ as one of its lead actresses.
Actress Pooja Sharma and actor Pushpa Khadka had already been finalized for the film. According to the production team, Kabita’s addition completes the lineup of the story’s three principal characters.
Director Tamang said Kabita was selected because of her ability to perform action sequences and the positive response to her previous action work. ‘This is an action-genre film, and audiences have appreciated Kabita’s action performances. That is why we signed her on the occasion of her birthday’ the director said.
The film is expected to feature a major confrontation between Pooja Sharma and Kabita Nepali. The makers say the story will revolve around three central characters, with action and their interpersonal conflict driving the narrative.
While Pooja has increasingly taken on action-oriented roles, Kabita has also performed action in ‘Eklo’. Bringing the two actresses face-to-face could become one of the film’s strongest promotional elements.
Details about Pushpa Khadka’s character and how he connects to the conflict between the two female leads have not yet been disclosed.
The production team is preparing to begin filming in the Nepali month of Bhadra, although an exact starting date and shooting locations have not been announced.
‘Ekka Teen’ is being produced under the banners of Juna Films and Adhira Films. Suman Gajmer has written the story and screenplay.
For Kabita, the film offers another opportunity to establish hers in action-oriented cinema following ‘Eklo’. Her on-screen confrontation with Pooja is likely to be a key point of interest as further details about the project emerge.
